More about the classes
An exciting range of classes on offer at Gaffa will give individuals the opportunity to learn the foundations of contemporary jewellery making.
The foundation classes are suited for students with no previous skills and will provide hands on experience with saw piercing, filing, soldering and polishing to create and design their own silver jewellery.
An intermediate course is available for those with previous knowledge and experience with jewellery making.
Students will work at their own pace and be exposed to specialised techniques including stone setting, metal inlay, roller printing, wax carving and much more.
Each continuing student will have the unique opportunity to showcase their work at Gaffa Gallery at the end of the year as part of a group exhibition.
Gaffa is fitted with state-of-the-art equipment and facilities housed in a spacious workshop environment. It is home to over 15 resident jewellery artists and designers and students will have the rare chance to work alongside practitioners in a lively hub of creativity. All tools and equipment are provided as well as most silver material.
